    My teaching style is…
Demonstrate, explain, cue, correct. I use lots of imagery and dynamic language to motivate my clients towards understanding the specificity of how their body moves and can move.

In my classes you can expect…
A warm up that revises Pilates principles and correct core activation, lots of attention to your alignment (don’t expect to hide from me at the back of the room), and burning glutes.

In my spare time you’ll find me…
Dancing or spinning upside down from a hoop and, when its warm enough, at the beach.

    Favourite yoga pose & why…
Wild thing because it makes me feel strong and open at the same time. My favourite Pilates exercises is probably the half roll back. I had a very tight lower back and weak abs when I first started and it was the perfect exercise for me to become stronger and more mobile.

    I’m inspired by…
Strong female role models who are intelligent and passionate about everything they do.

    My philosophy/mantra for life is…
As cliché as it is, “be in the moment.” I try to take time to notice what is happening here and now and be in the world even when things get stressful.

The best piece of advice I ever received is…
Stop chasing happiness because it’s like chasing a rainbow. If you’re always striving to be happy you’ll never be happy.

    My #1 must-read recommendation is…
    Anything by Paulo Coelho

    I can’t live without…
    Dance or Music

    Someone once told me…
I would probably have to do Pilates for the rest of my life to manage a chronic injury and so should consider becoming an instructor and make a career of it. Glad I listened!

    Favourite food…
    Strawberries and chocolate

    Favourite holiday destination…
I’m a bit of a globetrotter so it’s rare that I holiday in the same place twice. One of my favourite places in the world is the Uruguayan cost. Sun, surf, turtles!

    Drink of choice…
    Mojitos
